74HC109 — Dual J-K flip-flop
Two positive-edge-triggered J-K flip-flops in a 16-pin DIP, each with set and reset.
A J-K flip-flop can hold, set, clear or toggle depending on its two inputs, which makes it more flexible than a D-type for counters and state machines built from discrete logic.
