HM62256 — 32K × 8 static RAM (used)
A 28-pin DIP static RAM holding 32 kilobytes, organised as 32768 words of 8 bits.
Static RAM needs no refresh circuitry, which is exactly why it is the practical choice for a homebrew 6502 machine — wire up address, data and two control lines and it works. 32K is the usual size for a 6502 system, leaving the upper half of the address space for ROM and I/O. Previously used.
One of the DIP ICs the ABN6502 is populated with — see the video for the board it goes into and how the ICs are fitted and tested.
